"After Urban"

A film festival brought to the United States by Art Expo. "After Urban" will premiere at the University of Pennsylvania in Massachusetts. I will be helping to organize the festival when it comes to Houston, Texas in October of 2008. It promises to be a great opportunity to view artists from around the world working in all sorts of media--mainly in experimental film and digital media. The artists involved will meet under the umbrella of Winterstreet Studios for 3 days, whereupon that time viewers can come and view a variety of different films covering a range of different topics and participate in educational art workshops. What will be most appealing is its diversity. the idea is to gather art from as many different places as possible and show them under one roof. Art Expo itself is an independent art organization of about 800 members from all around the world. The organization pushes to educate and communicate through the language of art, using its potential as a platform for change and expression.

"A Wierd World"

"Wierd World"" is a semi-science fiction over the head imaginative account of creation and man's separtion from the natural world into the a society of structure--manipulating the world around it to create a synthesis of the natural and manmade based on the four natural and four manmade elements of our world today. the attempt is to create a body of work that has moments of scientific and philosphic exploration, the romance of energy and movement, the lonliness of man, and a love of nature. Its prose is didactic at times, flowery, and heartfelt. Thoughts come up and emerge from the narrator's perspective as she tells the story looking back at moments to place a feeling on the way she feels in her world right now. Dates skip around a connections are sporatic. Sometimes strong and other times seem vague, fragmented or disconnected. Her name is June. At left is the cover image found at the beginning of the book series.

Statement and Mission

Art is any form of outward thinking. It promotes problem solving, deep thinking and a beter understanding of the life we live outside the realm of our own knowledge. It allows us to be curious and to question. Art has no boundaries and its medium is just a physical material used by the individual artist to best express what he or she is feeling. The more medium we experiment with as artists, the more able we are to bring what is held within our mind's imagination to life. the synthesis of thought and visual expression are what drives us, and we should always push to understand and love our art--as it should always be of honest sentiment, integrity, and completely pure of intention.
